Jonas Hamre is a norwegian tenor saxophonist, from “Vestlandet” and now a resident of Bergen. Plays everything from pop to metal and good old traditional jazz. He plays a pivotal role in projects such as Indre Sunnmøre Støylag, Det Blir Værre and Nathalie Sandtov's Freedom Nation. Massive sound, massive personality, we can't wait to have him back on.
Sjur Videar Lilleås is a norwegian drummer from Hadeland (ByeByeLand, not to be confused with LaLaLand) and now doing his Law degree in Oslo. An energetic and creative drummer that draws his sound mainly from classic rock giants like John Bonham and Dave Grohl, but with a twist of Tony Williams. Band leader and co-band leader of Lodd, NRWY, Detroit Sounds and Det Blir Værre. He can play anything you put in front of him and it's a true joy to create waves together with this bearded man.

A Norwegian trumpet player from Langesund, a place where rich people go on vacation to see expensive intimate concerts. As the son of a Norwegian jazz legend, he was injected with jazz at an early age, and to this very day jazz flows through his veins. A jam session cat that besides his own band, Håkon Guttormsen Kvartett, he works actively with MoFro, Kaspar Lang Quintet and together with hip-hop producer Carl Knast. A longing and gentle sounding player that is always searching for new ideas and expressions.

A German alto saxophonist, clarinetist and electronics player from a rural region near Köln. Over the last several years he has been a major part of both the Köln and the Copenhagen scene. With three CDd releases as a leader/composer, Own Your Bones and Just Another Foundry, he is establishing himself as a major force in the Danish-German scene. An improviser that can make any situation into gold, with the additional rawness off German steel.

A tenor saxophonists from the rural parts of Poland. He has resided Denmark for many years and is one of the most in demand younger tenor players in Copenhagen. A leader and co-leader of bands like LOVE, HUM, the Love and Beauty Seekers as well as many other great projects. He has played everything there is to play and made them all sound extraordinary, he continues this practice to this present day.
Back to the duo format, the only Ymse Impro to feature both a cover-song and overdubs. Synth guitar, guitar, and bass and no-input mixer. Recorded the 31.03.2018 at Sigurdsgade 24, 2200, Copenhagen straight into four-track tape recorder, overdubs were done through midi.

Norwegian bass player from the place where all the women are exceptional in handball, and now a resident of "the king's city" - Copenhagen. After spending some years in Bergen, learning the craft of Be-Bop, he is now experimenting with the preparation of instruments, conceptual thinking and other performative elements in music. He's a considerate yet an assertive interplayer, with a touch of the unexpected.

A drummer from Copenhagen, Denmark currently at the time of writing living in Amager. Known for his extremely energetic performance, precise timing and ability to play unmatched complicated rhythm with extreme integrity. Recorded and released music with many projects in the rock/metal/experimental scene in Copenhagen, with a primary focus on Cacafogo, Uranjo and Michael Ellis.
Stian Victor Lervik Swensson (acc git), no-input mixer and guitar/synth guitar/pedals. Half the recordings were lost due to a mathematical mistake. Recorded the 26.09.2018 at Sigurdsgade 24, 2200, Copenhagen straight into four-track tape recorder.
A Norwegian guitar player from Oslo but a long time resident of Copenhagen. He is one of the main "go to" guitar players when it comes to both modern and traditional jazz. With exceptional technical, rhythmic and harmonic abilities, he can handle any situation you can conjure up. He's leading his own Trio, writing for large ensembles and is a side man all over Copenhagen.

Gianluca Elia (fx) and Szymon Gąsiorek (dr) join us for a 40 minutes long, single take improvisation. The core both plays the guitar on this recording. Recorded the 07.11.2018 at Leo Mathisens Vej 1,1437, Copenhagen, RMC with full microphone set up into a MacBook.
Gianluca Elia is an Italian tenor saxophonists, no-input-mixmaster, coder and app creator/developer in Copenhagen - Denmark. An important contributor to projects such as Søren Kjærgaard’s video-keyboard, Squidback and Perfect Volume. Known for his wall of sound approach, but a master of all volumes and textures. Improvisor to the core, in life, in conversation, in music.
Szymon Gąsiorek is a drummer, composer and bandleader from Poland, but a long time resident of Copenhagen. One of the most active drummers of the younger generation, with bands like Pimpono Ensemble, Past And Future Don't Exist And Now Is The Rhythm and Wood Organization. With a non-judgemental style he flows between textures and genres like a zebra, always exciting, fitt and adapting.
First part of the field recording was produced while biking from Ryparken to Nørrebro, and the other part with a Zoom out the window, the neighbour joins with their vacuum cleaner. Recorded the 24.02.2019 in Jonatan's apartment, Copenhagen, with DI to the four-track tape recorder.
This session was recorded in two parts, due to a mathematical error with the length of the tapes, half had to be recorded right into the zoom and the other was recorded into the four-track tape recorder. Norwegian trumpet player from the summerly south of Norway, where all houses are painted white and everyone owns a boat. Probably the fastest reaction time this side of the pond, he is truly the Lucky Luke of improvisation. Plays in all the projects that need brass in the Copenhagen region, with projects like Kresten Osgood Quintet, Horse Orchestra and EHM. A master of traditional jazz and a doctor of improvisation.
